Dr. Andrew Knight-Messenger
Dr. Andrew Knight-Messenger is an author, professor, and public speaker.
His forthcoming debut monograph, The Place of the Court Tales in Early Jewish Literature and the Hebrew Bible (Bloomsbury Publishing), provides a systematic treatment of literary tales about the lives and vicissitudes of Jewish officials serving in the courts of powerful foreign kings. Dr. Knight-Messenger is also a novelist with several manuscripts in the areas of sci-fi, detective, and fantasy currently undergoing professional editorial review.
Dr. Knight-Messenger is also a part-time professor at King’s University College (Western University), McMaster University, Sheridan College, and Conestoga College. His research focuses on the intersection of apocalyptic and popular literature within the Dead Sea Scrolls, early Jewish Diasporic literature, and the Hebrew Bible/Old Testament. Dr. Knight-Messenger received his Ph.D. in early Judaism and early Christianity from McMaster University in 2022. Dr. Knight-Messenger regularly teaches courses and delivers public lectures in the areas of Religious Studies, World Religions, Early Judaism, Early Christianity, the Dead Sea Scrolls, Hebrew Bible, New Religious Movements, and Popular Culture.
Dr. Knight-Messenger lives in Ontario, Canada with his wife, three children, and pet cat. His other interests include traveling, learning new languages, reading, and playing board games.
